I Just Flew in From Arizona, and Boy, are My Arms Tired…
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008But seriously folks, I haven’t posted before and felt I had to weigh in this time. Much will be said and written about Superbowl XLII, from many angles and with the usual headlines:

- ‘Cheaters Never Prosper’ - Did the Pats really cheat? If, so, does everyone do it? I’ll wait a few years for the 16,000 page report from Congress before passing final judgement on that one.
- ‘Eli Comes of Age’, ‘Brady Ruins Career’, ’Belichick is a Sack of Crap’ - All true.

But folks point to SB III, Jets-Colts - or more recently, SB XXXVI, Pats-Rams… moreso the latter, given that the Rams (like the Pats) had a high-powered offense and the Pats (like the Giants) were given no chance of slowing down or stopping that offense.
Some folks are insisting SB XLII will be deja vu, harkening back to that SB XXXVI - as the Giants will upset the mighty offensive juggernaut and shock the world. I disagree. I do see deja vu, but relative to another Super Bowl which involved the Patriots: (more…)
