Inconceivable!

I trust Danny is alone in repeatedly uttering that word, and I don’t think that word means… what he thinks it means - as the rest of us are instead uttering, “inevitable”.

Newsflash:  Gagne has been taken out of the closer role by the Brewers.

He didn’t even make it to Mother’s Day - although I’ll give him credit for making it into May before Milli-waukay realized the error of their ways.  Nice $10 million Doug Melvin… lose it!

Hanley Ramirez

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

The Marlins have signed Ramirez to a 6-year, $70 million extension. On the one hand, he’s quite a player and at age 24 should continue to improve. On the other hand, it seems like a lot of money to commit to someone with two seasons of experience. On the third hand, its nice to see the Marlins start to spend some of the Yankees’ money for its stated purpose.

What is the collective wisdom of the order? Are the Marlins wisely locking up a superstar in a long term deal, or are they foolishly committing $12 million per year to a player just starting his third season?

Watson is an idiot

So Kyle Farnsworth had his suspension cut from 3 games to 1 game.  Why not just completely eliminate the suspension altogether.  A one-game suspension for a reliever is not even a penalty.  In case you didn’t realize (Bob)…. relievers don’t pitch EVERY day.
