Heh-heh... who else was at the NCAA Regionals when Cornell destroyed Quinnipiac in the first round many years ago? They'd made the jump from Division II (I believe it was), and they had some freshman goalie who was *clearly* nervous... and played like crap - helping the Big Red to a nice 3-0 lead early in the 1st period, before he was mercifully pulled by his coach. After being pulled, and thus sitting on the bench, the Lynah Faithful in attendance in Worcester (or was it Providence?) launched into the "Good Goalie/Bad Goalie" chant... with a twist (ever the resourceful ones, the Faithful always manage to adjust on the fly to a given situation):

[Pointing to Cornell's goalie... Leneveu, maybe?] "This goalie is a *good* goalie!"
[Pointing to Quinnipiac's (replacement) goalie, now in net]: "This goalie is a *bad* goalie!"
[Then pointing to the poor freshman goalie, now on the bench]: "This goalie is the *worst* goalie!"

Then pointing appropriately, repeating several times...
"Good Goalie!!!"
"Bad Goalie!!!"
"Worse Goalie!!!"

Beav wasn't sitting with us (for some reason), but instead was behind a group of Quinnipiac parents. One of the Quinnipiac dads couldn't take it anymore and turned around and implored Beav (something to the effect of), "Leave him alone! He's only a freshman, fer crissakes!"

Beav looked down at him, grinned, and condescendingly sneered, "Welcome to Division I."

Out-standing.
