Greatest Sports Insults

The Times - the English paper, not the New York one - has published its list of the 50 greatest sports insults. I liked this one:

“He has everything a boxer needs except speed, stamina, a punch, and ability to take punishment. In other words, he owns a pair of shorts.”

Blackie Sherrod, the American columnist, on a heavyweight boxing contender.

    For me, it’s #42. I recall seeing that before - and it cracks me up every time.
