This is golf. It’s a gentleman’s (and/or lady’s) game - which means that every precaution must be taken to ensure as close to absolute silence with each swing/stroke as possible. Thus, Blackberries and all related phone-like equipment are not allowed on the course during the tournament. We were literally patted down… not for alcohol or weapons - but for phones (including phones with cameras).

Aside from that, I was there with my father-in-law - which necessarily means, I’m with the guy whose daughter I’m married to. A quick chat about a random hot chick is certainly allowed… but pulling out a camera to take as many photos as possible to share with friends, while necessarily ogling said hottie well beyond the “acceptable” time frame? Bad form when with a father-in-law, all I’m sayin’.
