I am not sure what is the most disturbing part of Mr. Tabata’s story. A 20 year old baseball player married to a 43 year old, or the fact that it is a 43 year old with some issues.

From the article, “Plant City police Capt. Darrell Wilson told the AP on Tuesday evening that Pereira has a criminal record, with theft and fraud convictions. Wilson also said that Pereira has a number of known aliases.”
And that’s the best a 19-yr-old baseball prospect could do if he’s so determined to be married? I submit Tabata is lucky this happened now, *before* he signs a big contract for big money that she would’ve inevitably swindled him out of. Course, that presumes that Tabata’s now going to open his eyes - and further presumes he was unaware of her “criminal record, with theft and fraud convictions…. [and] number of known aliases.”
