D'oh! Damn mathematical certaintude!

Of course, I could borrow the Time Life approach and assert my theories anyhow with the following disclaimer, "Despite mathematical evidence to the contrary, I believe the Pat will win two more SBs before the clock strikes 2010."

Well... I guess the Sox have to pick up the slack then... it's just that simple. Or maybe the Bruins could surprise and... heh-heh, I almost got through that full sentence without falling down laughing.

I'm gonna nitpick, but the Pats can't possibly win two more titles before the "clock strikes 2010". To wit:

The next Superbowl will be played in Feb of '09, and the one after that in Feb of 2010.

Therefore, by the transitive property of Chuck, the Pats can only win more more before '10.

Balls... five pro sports titles this decade and holding. That's it?! That blows! Only *five*!?! Well, I guess we've got a few more calendar years to rack up an acceptable level (double digits outta do it) - cuz I will not accept "only" five titles this decade. Before the clock strikes 2010, I expect two from the Celtics, two (more) from the Pats and one (more) from the Red Sox... but if they choose to divvy it up differently, I don't care... as long as they get to ten (or more). Anything less will be a decade of abject failure. We're New England, aka Title-Region USA, people! Let's get to work!

And yes, you'll notice the Bruins conspicuous by their absence. It's cuz, well... they suck more than Mama Gutzmer in heat. I love hockey, but to borrow from the Indians grounds crew circa 1987, "They're shitty." And despite the fact that they might (stress *might*) sneak into the playoffs this season, "They're still shitty."
