I'm a little suprised more folks haven't weighed in here.

If we allow ourselves to forget for a moment that the letters in his name can be re-arranged to spell "Fad of Devil's Hash," the obvious choice becomes David Hasselhoff. I believe that puts the Hoff up 2-0 over Tesh.

But don't just take my word for it. A google search yields nearly 2.2 million results for Mr. Hasselhoff, but only a paltry half million or so for Mr. Tesh. I therefore submit that in the arena of public opinion, the Hoff doesn't just squeak by here. He is actually 4.4 times better than Tesh!

This little gem is just icing on the cake...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi2CfuqcUGE

"I was prepared to commit one murder, ass-face! What makes you think I wouldn't commit two?!"
"Whoops."
"Whoops? Don't say whoops!"

"Nice job Irwin."
"Don't call me Irwin."

I've shirked my responsibilities in the movie-naming quest. Quote sounds awfully familiar, but I just can't place it. Seems like it should either (a) involve Bill Murray, or (b) be a Buddy Cop movie quote ("Lethal Weapon", "48HRs"... something in that genre). Regardless, once I get the answer, I will only respond thusly, (thumping palm on forehead): "Bob!"

Oh, speaking of which, also while down in Fort Myers, I came upon the following radio station: 102.9 Bob FM... naturally, it plays "classic" rock, as Bob is indeed classic. Every promo is "Bob doesn't like long commercial interruptions" or "Bob plays more music than anyone else". The *only* thing that would make it better is if it was "Bob *frequently* forgets to play more commercials" or "Bob *often* fails to follow the limited play lists of his competitors".... Bob!!!

It is no contest.

Tesh is new-agey, pseudo-intellectual, his music watered-down Pink Floyd. And I don't really care for the full flavor variety in the first place.

The Hoff is a multimedia sensation. Not only does he fight crime with a talking car, he is so manly he is not at all bothered that the car is gay. As you point out, he bequeathed Baywatch to the world. And he was the driving force behind the collapse of the Berlin Wall:

Indeed, to deny the primacy of He Who Must Never Be Hassled is to taunt atavistic Teutonic forces that are best left to slumber.
